Paul Vedam
President and Chief Executive Officer (Founder)

Since founding TIERONE in 1999, Paul has provided the overall strategic direction for the company in his role as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to starting TIERONE, he was a co-founder of Objectel Software, a provider of two industry leading products: Objectel (Inventory Management) and OMS (Order Management). Both products were eventually sold as part of the Architel sale to Nortel which is now part of the Oracle suite of OSS products.
Prior to that, Paul spent many years developing NOC and provisioning solutions at Unitel (now MTS Allstream).
Chris Barbeau
Vice President, Business Development
It is only by understanding our customers Business objectives and Operational challenges that we can develop solutions that will truly make a difference for them.
As Vice President, Business Development, Chris has global responsibility for building and managing TIERONEs sales, strategic partnerships, and marketing activities.
Chris has been working in the IT industry for more than 15 years. He has experience in both individual contributor and leadership roles with companies such as SPSS Inc., the Thomson Corporation and SAS Inc. Chris is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, ON.
Wilburn Der
Vice President, Professional Services
The key to any successful client engagement is listening to the customer and understanding their business challenges, then solving their problems by delivering an innovative solution and excellent service.
As Vice President, Professional Services Wilburn is responsible for delivering innovative solutions to carriers and cable companies across the world. In this role, he develops and manages key customer business relationships.
Wilburn is a seasoned executive with twenty years of IT management experience. Prior to joining TIERONE, he held various management positions at HP, Sprint Canada and AT&T Canada. Wilburn has spent the last fifteen years in the telecommunications industry specializing in IT strategy, OSS/BSS system design and architecture, data resource management, application development, packaged software deployment, project management, and operation support.
Wilburn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has also completed Executive Development Programs from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California and the Leadership Development Program for Asian Pacifics (LEAP).
Bill Otto
Vice President, Product Management
In these days of Telecom business transformation and network convergence it is more important than ever for OSS products to support service provider processes effectively and efficiently.
As Vice President, Product Management, Bill is responsible for all aspects of TIERONEs software development and product lifecycle. He brings over 30 years of systems and telecom experience to the company particularly in the areas of Service Fulfilment and Service Assurance OSS.
Prior to joining TIERONE, Bill worked for MetaSolv, Nortel, Architel and Accugraph in OSS product management, definition and application roles. He also has extensive experience in real-time software systems used in telecommunication fault management systems, as well as monitoring and control systems in the electrical power and oil and gas industries.
Neil Hansen
Chief Technology Officer (Founder)
In these days of financial pressure and rampant competition, it is critical to have quick customer-first transformation wins that require minimal customization and data migration.
As Chief Technology Officer, Neil leads a group of experts that sets product direction and provides technical expertise to TIERONE and its customers. He has over 25 years of telecommunications and IT experience in OSS, BSS, CRM, order management, provisioning, vendor selection and negotiation, and design and implementation of custom solutions.
Prior to forming TIERONE, Neil co-invented data-driven workflow, which was a fundamental capability in what is now Oracles leading order management product. His OSS experience includes TELUS Mobility, Allstream, Rogers Wireless, and Rogers Cable project management and solution design.
